Luboš Soukup Quartet [CZ] feat. Lionel Loueke [BE] & Prague Horns
Duration: 100 min
Since Czech saxophonist Lubos Soukup was awarded the Strings of Autumn scholarship for talented young artists in 2010, his career has gone from strength to strength. Soukup is now based in Copenhagen and regularly tours Europe with a variety of ensembles, notably his Points Quartet.
In 2017, he released the album ‘Zeme’ which featured a guest appearance from Benin-born guitarist Lionel Loueke, the virtusoso player who has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz, appearing on recordings by Herbie Hancock, Jack De Johnette, Terence Blanchard, and Avshai Cohen, and touring with Hancock’s band for over 10 years.
Loueke and Soukup reunite for this special concert, which promises a fascinating meeting of backgrounds and styles.
